Jeremy Fielding specializes in complex business litigation. Distinguished by his distinctive brand of energetic advocacy, creativity, and dogged relentlessness, Jeremy's work for his clients has earned him the recognition and respect of his peers, having been repeatedly selected since 2008 as a “Texas Super Lawyers - Rising Star,” and, more recently, as a Texas “Litigation Star” by Benchmark Litigation and one of the "2017 Best Lawyers in Dallas” by D Magazine.
Jeremy has successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants in matters ranging from complex business and energy litigation to intellectual property disputes. He also has significant experience litigating adversary proceedings in bankruptcy courts. For instance, in a recent high-profile fraudulent transfer and breach of fiduciary adversary proceeding involving a defunct real estate development company, Jeremy secured an eve-of-trial settlement that netted his client $30.3 million.
More recently, Jeremy represented Energy Transfer Partners in a closely-watched lawsuit against Enterprise Products Partners over the alleged formation of a partnership to market and operate a multi-billion dollar pipeline project from Cushing, Oklahoma to Houston, Texas. Following a five-week trial in which Jeremy played a primary role – conducting the jury voir dire, cross-examining several key witnesses, and presenting closing arguments – the jury concluded that Energy Transfer and Enterprise had formed a partnership, awarding ETP substantial damages. Ultimately, this verdict culminated in the Court entering of one of the largest civil judgments ever in Dallas County history. To learn more about this case, click here.

Jeremy received his B.A. from Brigham Young University, taking two years off to serve as missionary in East Africa, where he became fluent in Swahili and learned to cook a very mean batch of peanut butter stew. He then earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was the Executive Editor of The Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. Before joining the firm in 2005, Jeremy worked as a law clerk to the Honorable E. Grady Jolly of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and practiced law in the Dallas office of Baker Botts. He is married to Laura Lanning Fielding and they are the proud (but often frazzled) parents of four sons and one daughter.
